Product Description
The production of bitter orange blossom essential oil has long been a tradition in the small Ligurian town of Vallebona. Pietro Guglielmi rekindled a legacy by reopening the family’s historic distillery and reintroducing numerous bitter orange trees to his homeland. At 92 years old, Pietro´s grandmother, Ines, continues to be an integral part of the family business, sharing the traditional methods. The blossoms are carefully hand-harvested, slightly sun-dried on aerated fabric, and their essence is gently extracted through vapor. This labor and time-intensive process yields just one liter of essential oil from one ton of blossoms. Pietro’s dedication not only rescued a nearly lost tradition but also exemplifies the excellence of traditional Italian craftsmanship.
